In September 2009, the new central bus station (Zentraler Omnibusbahnhof) in Munich was inaugurated. It is located at Hackerbrücke, easily reached from the train station (Hauptbahnhof) via S-Bahn or even within walking distance, if you don't have much luggage.

In contrast to the former long distance bus station in Fröttmaning, near the Allianz Arena, the new ZOB is directly in the center of the city and once you arrive here, it'll be just a few steps to your hotel and the most important sights in Munich.

The bus station is a sight in itself, a very futuristic looking building with 7 storeys. Here you have everything you'd expect from a modern bus terminal:
