Best Places to Buy Munich Designer Clothes

Munich has stores of all the famous designer clothes brands and some local designers as well. One of the most extraordinary personalities was the designer Rudolph Moshammer with his dog Daisy. Unfortunately his boutique with extravagant and funky designer clothing closed after he was murdered a while ago.

If you're into the big names in designer clothing, your first place to go is Maximilianstrasse.
Here you will find most of the famous brands and as many designer clothes, gorgeous shoes, glamorous sun glasses, luxurious handbags, stylish writing utensils, classy suitcases, high-end jewelry or expensive watches as you could ever wish for.

The architecture matches the exclusive shops: majestic Jugendstil buildings from the early 20th century, lovingly restored after World War II offer a great setting for a wonderful shopping experience.

Located in the centre of Munich right besides the Residenz and the Opera, Maximilianstrasse is the perfect place to see and be seen.

It well deserves its name as Munich's most exclusive streets. You might even be lucky and spot a celebrity going shopping in one of the designer boutiques like Chanel, Montblanc, Salvatore Ferragamo, Valentino, Louis Vuitton, Bottega Veneta, Hermes, Giorgio Armani, Dior, Versace, Dolce and Gabbana, Rena Lange etc.

Even if you don't plan on buying anything (which I doubt!), come here for a stroll, because there's so much to see!

Leave your man near the Residenz in one of the famous beer brewery restaurants and take your time for shopping. Just don't forget to bring your credit card :-)

After having done your designer clothes shopping, give your husband a tip, which jewellery or watch you liked especially at Bulgari, Cartier, Rolex or Omega. You never know, he just might buy it for your next birthday!

Apart from the expensive boutiques you'll find also a few shops that offer real bargains.

One of them is Second and First, a high-end second hand shop. Here you will find only 100% authentic designer clothes and can get a used Chanel costume in mint condition for less than 1000 Euros.

Another one is a small shop in one of the side streets near the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten, which has a sign pointing to it that reads Manolo Blahnik.
Even though I've never seen any Blahnik shoes in there, you can find all kind of designer clothes at 50%-70% percent discount mainly in the colors black and white.
