Beer Tent Reservations

I have clients who will be there for Oktoberfest Sep 19-24 this year. There are 7 travelling together.

Do they need beer tent reservations to get in? Most seem to require group of 10. If they choose to make reservation and pay for ten even though only 7 is that okay? If they don't have reservations will they be able to get in and enjoy?

What are your recommendations that they do?

Thank You,

Hi Leisa,

you are right, reservations can be made only per table of 10. You actually don't pay for the reservation, but for the consumption.

With each reservation you have to buy a minimum of 2 beer and 1/2 chicken, which costs about 25€ (40 USD) per person.

Off course, your clients can make reservations for 10 and only go in a group of 7. Usually the waitress will request them to allow 2-3 other people to sit at their table, when she sees their group doesn't at up to 10. But that shouldn't be a problem.

I always recommend to try and make a reservation at one of the beer tents. You can find details for all Oktoberfest Beer Tents on my website.

That said, if your clients visit on a weekday at lunch or early afternoon, they will always find a seat in one of the tents, even without reservation.

Happy time!
