Can youth go to beer tents with adults?
We are a family visiting Munich when the Oktoberfest is on (2015), and we are wondering if we can take our 14 year old daughter into a tent with us.
(no reservation as yet, so it may not happen anyway. Thank you.

Sure you can!
Small kids and strollers aren't allowed in the tents after 6 p.m., but that most certainly doesn't apply to your daughter!
In Germany we are rather liberal and together with their parents a teenager can go most anywhere.
I'm sure your daughter will love it! The atmosphere, the music, the dancing on the benches is something every teenager would enjoy.
And you can buy a vast array of non-alcoholic beverages for her like water, coke, or our famous Apfelschorle (apple juice with sparkling water).
Just a few cautionary words: most people inside the tents are nice and decent, but some aren't.
* If your daughter has to go to the toilet, go with her.
* Stay near her at all times and don't be shy to slap the hands of over-enthusiastic boys
Have fun!
