Cost of food at Oktoberfest

I plan on visiting the Oktoberfest this fall and I have seen beer prices but nothing about food prices.

If I bought lunch and dinner (and maybe a pretzel) at Oktoberfest, how much would each one cost?

Hello Brett,

Oktoberfest is definitely not cheap. If you're on a tight budget it would be best to have lunch before entering one of the tents.

You can buy Bavarian dishes in all of the tents, ranging from 9-15 Euros. The traditional beer tent meal is half a chicken, but of course you can also have a variety of other things like Knoedel (dumplings), duck, pork, french fries, etc.

Most of the beer tents also offer a "lunch special", which is a discounted menu on weekdays during lunch time. That will cost around 10 Euro (prices vary a lot in the different tents).

A big pretzel (Brezel) costs around 3 Euro and is usually shared with 2-3 persons.

Have fun!
