How can I apply for a tourist visa?
I'm from Philippines and my boyfriend wants to take me with him to Germany to have a holiday visit.
He said that he will sponsor my flight and stay in Germany. I would like to know if I still need a bank statement of account as a proof that I can go there, how much would it be and what are the documents that I need to provide aside from passport?

Hi Sha,
According to the German Foreign Office, you need either the proof of sufficient funds to cover your stay in Germany or the invitation of someone (your boyfriend) pledging to cover your costs.
Since you have the invitation, you don't have to show a bank statement of yourself.
