Georgenschwaige Swimming Pool in the Middle of Schwabing

Georgenschwaige Swimming Pool is one of the smallest public outdoor pools in Munich, but it has one unbeatable advantage: the location in the heart of Schwabing, near Luitpoldpark and Olympic park.

And off course, it's the pool nearest to my home :-)

I come here at least once a week in summer to relax and swim, which is a good alternative to my usual sports program and it's fun too.

Usually I wait until after 6 pm, when the pool and sunbathing area aren't that packed anymore.

Teenagers and families with kids tend to leave around that time, and you know that they make swimming almost impossible, because they jump and play and have fun in the water.

If your reason to visit an outdoor pool is to sunbathe and have fun, the day hours are perfect for you, but if you actually want to swim several rounds without having to stop every few seconds, then you really should go in the evening.
